Spider Control
Spider Control in Charlotte, NC
Most spiders around Charlotte are a nuisance rather than a danger. The two we find most are the Carolina wolf spider, which hunts on the ground and builds no web at all, and the common house spider behind the webbing in ceiling corners and around porch lights. The two worth taking seriously are the black widow, usually in crawl spaces, woodpiles and under deck framing, and the brown recluse, which is uncommon here but does turn up in undisturbed storage.
Spiders follow their food, so a spider problem is almost always an insect problem first. We knock down webbing, treat the eaves, entry points and crawl space, and deal with whatever is drawing them in. Porch and flood lights pulling moths in all night are the single most common reason a house keeps getting webs back.

Spiders follow their food. A house with a spider problem usually has an insect problem first, and treating the perimeter for the insects they are hunting does more for the spider count than anything sprayed straight at a web.
